Detailed condition surveys of natural stone cladding and masonry facades, pavements, interior wall lining and floors. Includes comprehensive condition reports with advice on cleaning, repair and restoration methods for modern and traditional stonework.
Harrison Goldman undertakes investigations for architects, property owners, developers and insurance companies who rely on us for both photographic and detailed written reports of failed stone cladding, paving, masonry wall lining and floors.
Where the buildings are listed or are within conservation areas, the stone used will be investigated so that the correct replacement is used.
The investigations and the written reports take into account the requirements of the following British Standards and Codes of Practice:
BS 8221-1:2012 – Code of practice for cleaning and surface repair of buildings. Cleaning of natural stone, brick, terracotta and concrete.
BS 8221-2:2000 – Code of practice for cleaning and surface repair of buildings. Surface repair of natural stones, brick and terracotta.
